Death From Above 1979

A few weeks ago, Death From Above 1979 played two sold out shows here in Toronto at the Sound Academy. My good friend Stumpy was doing the lighting for both of these shows, so he asked me to come out and take some photos. I haven’t shot many live shows lately, but these guys were great to photograph so it was a lot of fun. 

 

 

Arkells – Michigan Left

I know that this is a little bit late, but my good friends in the Arkells released their second full length record titled “Michigan Left” back in mid October. I was pretty excited to see that the photos I took of them back in February in the studio appeared in the sleeve of the album. If you haven’t picked up the record, what are you waiting for? Go buy it!

Arkells

As those of you know who read and follow my blog, you know that I have been working closely with the Arkells and the production of their new record (due out sometime this fall). While in the studio we shot a bunch of photos for their blog (www.arkellsphoto.com), to show people the progress in the studio, as well as some promotional work for festivals etc. This week they launched their new website with a bunch of my photos splashed all over the place. I am still alive

I am still alive. I know that it has been forever since I last posted, but I haven’t for a simple reasons. I have a new site that is almost ready to be launched. Just waiting on a few more pieces to add. For now here’s a photo from last week of fans of These Kids Wear Crowns as they posed for the Facebook photo.

Long Time No Post

Hello all who actually read this blog. I am not dead, just extremely busy. Between school and work I have been completely swamped. Assignments coming out of God know’s where and photos coming out of the wazoo. Here’s a little insight to what I have been up to regarding photos: Last week I headed back up into the studio again with my friends in the Arkells shot some stuff around the studio, hungout and shot some press photos from festivals and such this summer, bussed home saturday night to wake up and do a shoot for St. Catherines based Through These Words. Keep checking back for more photos!

Arkells – Studio Day 5

Today I headed up to Kingston, ON with good friend/tour manger/sound engineer of the Arkells to shoot some in studio photos of the Arkells. This is by far the coolest studio I have been in with a great view of the lake (Ontario).
